Tencent Games’ PUBG Mobile has consolidated its position at the pinnacle of the highest grossing games of the year. The major earnings are generated from gift crates and weapon skins bought by its players, now reported to have reached an expected grossing amount of 1200 million dollars annually.

The Verge specifically stated the amount of revenue of PUBG’s crate and provision sales to have crossed the 150 Million US Dollars mark. Game for Peace, the China-based version of PUBG Mobile has contributed a large sum to the grossing revenue.

An estimation from Chinese brokerage Great Wall Securities states that the China-based Game For Peace grossed over US$ 70 million, only seven millions less than it’s partner and counterpart which generated a whopping US$ 76 million in revenue in May 2019 itself. Game For Peace is a less intense transcription of PUBG, held in a nationalistic setting. It is said that the death scenes of the players have been done away with and replaces by formal and friendly waves of goodbyes in Game for Peace. Sometimes, a white flag can also be seen.

The improvements that were made in China resulted from many challenges, such as prohibition for granting new video games licenses and existing games being fined for community abuse and legal violation. Tencent’s, MOBA Honor of Kings, which is quite famous with gamers globally, was restricted to one hour for children under 12 while it was extended to two hours for children over 12.

Amid restrictions that may affect income, Game of Peace and PUBG Mobile’s unison has successfully managed to attract a huge fan following. The monthly income from the collaboration exceeds that of Honor of Kings, say reports.
