If you are a fan of Oppo smartphones, then you have a reason to put a smile on your face since the long awaited Oppo Reno Ace with quad rear cameras and Snapdragon 855+ is set to be unveiled officially on October 10. Before the official launch date, the live images of this unique phone have appeared online giving us a glimpse of the phone’s design. Another short video together with screenshots have also surfaced online showing how fast the 65W charging can top up the phone’s battery. In the leaks, the supplied 65W charger will be able to charge 75% of the phone’s battery within 25 minutes.
The leaked videos come in courtesy of a Welbo account name Flash Fly and seem to show the gradient black and blue rear panel of the Oppo Reno Ace. Oppo had already given us an early look of Oppo Reno Ace’s design depicting a gradient blue and green colorsof the phone. The front of the phone can be seen sporting a water drop notch housing the single front-facing camera.
On the other hand, the leaked screenshots of Oppo Reno Ace come courtesy of Sparrow News and show the phone at various stages of charging. The leaked screenshots start with the phone’s battery level and the corresponding time it takes thecompany’s proprietary 65W charger to charge 75% of the phones battery in just 25 minutes. This is quite impressive considering not many phones can be able to match this charging speed. The video accompanying these screenshots show the charging process in action and suggest the charging speed will be as fast as 1% per ten seconds of charging time.
Other notable features that the Oppo Reno Ace is tipped to have include a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a full HD + resolution (1080 by 2400 pixels) together with a water drop notch. It is also believed that the phone will come full equipped with the Snapdragon 855+ SoC and a 4,000mAh battery. This battery is going to support the proprietary 65W fast charging standard. In terms of storage, the upcoming Oppo flagship is tipped to pack 128GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Unfortunately, the latter will not be expandable as per reports.
The Oppo Reno Ace screen refresh rate will be set to 90Hz and we are likely to see an in-display fingerprint solution. Looking at the back of Reno Ace, we see the vertically aligned quad-camera setup with a 48MP F/1.7 main shooter. The other three sensors that it comes with include a 13MP F/2.4 telephoto, 8MP F/2.2 ultrawide and 2MP depth helper. Apart from the design and SuperVOOC 2.0 leaks, Oppo Vice President Brian Shen confirmed the Reno Ace would also be available in a limited Gundam edition. Way back in May, there was talk of an exclusive Gundam edition phone hitting markets soon but that never happened. For now, we have to wait for the official launch date (October 10) to see what the phone entails.
